Moving into a residence with active service does not automatically transfer ownership of the account and does not guarantee service will remain turned on. A copy of your contract may be within your documents in your MyAmeriGas account, or can be obtained by contacting our customer service center at 800-263-7442.
Installation costs vary by the type of installation, the required amount of work and geography. The average cost for a customer-owned tank is $69.99 for the Service Dispatch Fee. The average cost for a standard installation or swap-out of an above ground tank is $250. There are additional costs if the tank needs to be buried or if additional work on gas lines needs to occur. Discounts may be available by location or promotion.

When you refer a new residential customer, you will both receive a VISA prepaid card when your referral signs up as a residential heating customer, and receives their first delivery. VISA prepaid cards are offered to other types of new AmeriGas customers. Visit herefor more information on residential referrals.
