Chenga – Sherekhan Tome of Wisdom
The Adventurer’s Tome can be upgraded through a questline that begins with the quest, Hoom’s Song, given by Aljai who is stationed on Macalod Hill in Drieghan. Through a series of riddle-laden quests, you can obtain the Chenga Tome, which adds 30% to Combat EXP obtained through quests that reward Combat EXP.
Chenga Tome is an excellent way to level if you are tired of grinding and it’s faster than grinding at later levels.
At level 60, each non repeatable quest that rewards Combat EXP will give you approximatly 1.3% of your level.
Besides the +20% Prognyl Silver Bar Gain, the Chenga Tome also increases Vision Range +150m.
Important Note regarding the Chenga Tome questline:
- At least 1 character in your family must be level 53+
Black Spirit’s Gift (Adventurer’s Tome)
After reaching level 53, the Black Spirit will give you a quest called, Black Spirit’s Gift (Adventurer’s Tome) . Complete that quest to receive the Adventurer’s Tome, then the rest of your lower level characters should be able to access the quest also to get an Adventurer’s Tome.
Chenga Tome for Alts
You do not need to be level 53+ to do the Chenga Tome questline. You can complete it on a secondary character who is lower level. I completed it on my level 30 Ranger.
Also, the Chenga Tome is giveable to other characters in your family.
You will need 170 usable energy to complete the entire questline
Several riddles during the questline will require you to spend energy to hand in an answer and gain knowledge on that subject. If your character does not have that big of an energy pool, bring energy pots which can be purchased off the marketplace. If you make mistakes and give the wrong answer you will end up needing more energy, so be sure to give the correct answer and have extra energy or energy pots on hand in case of mistakes. After taking your first character through the questline, your other characters will not need any energy to complete the questline as the quests which required energy the first time through will auto complete.
You also have the option of just waiting for the energy to slowly regen. There are several items you can use to speed up energy regeneration.

If you have trouble finding the Chenga Tome questline in the quest log, you can start with NPC Aljai on Macalod Hill.
Chenga Tome is not replaceable once destroyed:
The Chenga Tome cannot be easily replaced if you destroy it like the Adventurer’s Tome. To get another you would need to complete the Chenga Tome questline on another character.

Hoom’s Song
If your character is Level 53+, you can begin the Chenga Tome questline by autopathing/navigating to Aljai through the questline in your Quest Log. If you don’t see the quest line in the quest log, you can find Aljai on Macalod Hill without autopathing assistance. Aljai is located within the green box in the map below. Speak with Aljai, then follow the autopath to Hoom’s Altar.
The Rumbling Sound of Drieghan
Speak to the three Musical Spirits in order and answer their riddles correctly. 20 energy is needed to solve each riddle. TheFirst Musical Spirit (sun) is hovering over the logs in front of the waterfall northeast of the bridge, the Second Musical Spirit (flowers) is located southeast of the docks at the base of a waterfall, Third Musical Spirit (wind) is located southwest of the docks behind a rock grouping.

Go back up the path to the spot indicated at the top of cliff. Zoom in to get a closer look. Go back down to hand in quest.

Go to Doroter’s coffin.
