Rated 1 out of5 byBigWave Dave fromCooks Too Hot!After cooking 3 roasts now I'm finding it difficult to get a lower heat. I end up having to turn it off during cooking and then back on as I can see the juice boiling after an hour on low. I got this one as it's bigger than my old one and now wish I still had my old one still. So far I ended up with 3 tough roasts. My old Crock Pot made my roast fall apart - not this one. Today I'm trying the lowest setting (the keep warm setting lol). I've read the other reviews and Crock-Pot response is that the newer models cook at a higher heat. Well I'm telling you Crock-Pot that you need to go back to your old specs with lower heat settings or a gradual dial like on a pancake griddle perhaps - sayin.

Rated 2 out of5 bySlowcooklover fromCracked on 3rd useReceived this for christmas havnt gotten to much use out of it. Went to use it for the 3rd time and about 2 hours into cooking i heard odd sounds thought it was just the stew cooking. Then i noticed liquid underneath the slowcooker, assuming it was a perhaps user error by spilling, looked underneath and saw a hairline crack. Also!! It cooks way too dam fast. So many slow cookers recipe say 6-8 hours while this cooks in 1 half/2 hours. Cant really leave it to cook all day unless you want over done. Kind of upset because had a smaller slowcooker that cooked slow and got rid of it and asked for it as a gift.

Rated 3 out of5 byCooker doodle doo fromUsefulLove the crock pot. I’m not much of a cook so when I do use it I always forget what the I and II stand for. I have to search it every time! I finally used a sharpie to change the symbols to L (low) and H (high). I hope they don’t make the crock pots with the symbols any more for goofs like me! Otherwise it’s a great machine and a big time saver

Rated 3 out of5 byGerall fromConfusing to useJust bought cooker and went to use it today. Have no idea, and owners manual doesnt say, what the settings are. Instead of having text, there is a I, an II, and what I assume is keep warm. I will assume that I is low, and II is high, but dont really know.

The last one I had was not a crock pot brand but it lasted 10 yrs so I have high hopes for this one. I love how big it is, all the recipes I'll be able to make in this 8 qt pot. Plus the shipping was so very fast and It's been a great buy, I would recommend this crock pot to all my friends and family!!

Rated 1 out of5 byGrey_Wolf fromNot happyNot very pleased with this. I bought the large pot to upgrade from my old four or five quart and have soup going in it now. My soup is boiling all day on the low setting! Where is the SLOW part? I've read the replies and yes I have it over three quarters full. I hope I can return this thing as it is useless as a SLOW cooker.

Rated 1 out of5 byjklaz fromCermaic crackedI bought this after searching for a simple, large size crock pot that would fit a whole chicken for roasting. The second time I used this crock pot I heard a loud crack when I added warm water to the pot. There is a long crack on the bottom and around the side of the ceramic and I have been unable to use this crock pot ever since. I don't see the ceramic part offered in the parts section so now I'm left with a useless crock pot after only one use. Extremely disappointed.
