I followed the recipe exactly and what I got were little round rocks. The dough was very dry and did not spread while baking. They were tasty but very hard. I don't know why. Won't make these again.

Amazing cookie! Very easy to make! I always use 1/2 butter and 1/2 Butter-Flavored Crisco sticks as I find my cookies keep their shape better with that combo. I substituted dark chocolate chips (because I had a taste for them) and hazelnuts since I didn't have pecans. They're simply delicious! Lots of oat flavor!

Was looking forward to eating these after all the great reviews, what a disappointment. Crunchy yes, but also dry. Butter and good quality chocolate helped with flavor, but would not make again. Am an experienced baker, Probably too much oatmeal. Stick with Toll House recipe and add 1 - 1 1/2 cups oatmeal - been doing this for years (grind it in food processor if you want to disguise from family - they will never know).

My kids don't like nuts so I leave them out. A favorite for my children I make every 3 or 4 months. Don't even make regular chocolate chip cookies any more. These have the added benefit of oatmeal. Love these cookies!!!

I make these with 2 extra large eggs, 3 1/2 cups uncooked quick one-minute oats, 1 pkg. Ghirdelli semisweet chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped English walnuts. The extra 1/2 cup of oats makes them very chewy and also a tad bit less sweet. Several of my friends have requested the recipe. I kept playing with the recipe until I got it like I wanted. Makes 6 dozen cookies and I bake for 15 minutes at 350 in my oven.

These cookies are proof that God loves us and the reason why he invented milk. Oh my goodness. YUM. Yum yum yum. Wow yum. I couldn't find the big morsels so I chopped up some baking chocolate into big and small chunks. You GOTTA add the pecans, they really add a lot of flavor. Then I drizzled some melted chocolate over top of them. ZOW! BAM! SHIZAM!! This will be my forever go-to recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

The Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies are DELICIOUS!!!! I've made them over 6 times and each time I've made them, they don't last long. I've even taken them to work and they keep requesting me to make more...

I made these before Christmas and everyone loved them! I like crunchy cookies better than chewy so I'm a big fan of these...mine ended up crunchy but I see that other reviewers said theirs were chewy. They stayed fresh a long time when stored in airtight containers, too (good because there were lots and lots of them). I'm making them again and this time I'm going to make half with raisins instead of chocolate chunks.

Maybe I'm just real slow but this recipe takes longer than 30 minutes. Or maybe it was due to my adjustments - added 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 each cloves, nutmeg and a dash of ginger and substituted Bobs Red Mill 5 grain cereal for 1 1/2 c oatmeal. Never the less these cookies are awesome!!! Had to make another batch within a couple of days cuz they disappeared quick! YUM! Might try adding dried cranberries next time in place of chocolate. Outstanding!

Great oatmeal cookie recipe! Very moist. I added about a cup of dried tart cherries that were softened in hot water for about 15 minutes. Baked them for 13 minutes. Recipe made 45 good size cookies. I will be making these again very soon!

Incredible!!! I used whole wheat flour instead of white. I am very picky about cookies, and have to say that these are the best I've ever made....and of course I ate most of the dough before I even got around to making the cookies

These are my new favorite cookie. Like a chocolate chip cookie, but so much better. They bake so nicely. I substitute walnuts for the pecans and add a few more chocolate chunks. Be warned, these are very addictive.

These are very moist and soft inside. Taste great. Like others, I am placing these in Christmas goodie bags.

I have been baking for over 40 years, so I believe that makes me fairly experienced. I followed the directions exactly, using a 1 tbls. scoop. The cookies remained the same same as the sccop when baked. They taste fine, but don't look good. Ultimately I had to flatten them by hand. I will try this again and adjust the moisture.

Soft and chewy, I gave them out in tins to people for Christmas. I heard no complaints, and I loved eating the rest myself!

I made the cookies exactly the same. I really liked the recipe and I liked the crunch of the pecans. I would highly recommend using the chunk chocolate. I have sent the recipe to two friends. I will make this recipe frequently. It makes a generous amount of large cookies.

Awesome cookies! They are a perfect mix of crunchy chewy. I was making them to take to a party Friday night and at the rate my husband is eating them I'll have to make more before we go. This is one I'll make again and again!

These cookies were a HUGE hit! I used half oat flour and half all purpose for a more moist cookie. I also added an extra teaspoon of vanilla and about a tablespoon of cinnamon. The 48 were cookies were gone in a matter of hours!
