Can you use coffee pods in a Vimukun coffee maker? ›

Alternatively, remove the pod from its packaging, place it in a mug, and pour boiling water on top. Let it steep for several minutes before removing. If you're using a regular coffee machine, put the coffee pod in a compatible holster, slide it into the brewing chamber, and set the machine to “single serve.”

To deep clean your auto-drip coffee maker, add up to 4 cups of undiluted vinegar to the reservoir. Let stand 30 minutes. Run the vinegar through a brewing cycle. Follow with two to three cycles of fresh water until the vinegar smell is gone.

Step 1: Fill the Water Reservoir with Vinegar Solution

Mix together a solution of 6 cups of white vinegar, 1-2 cups of baking soda, and 1/4 cup of table salt. The vinegar should kill the mold spores, and the baking soda will lift them out of your coffee maker.

Repeat Twice, with Water Only

Repeat this process with pure water to remove any remaining vinegar, then completely empty the water and run the coffee maker one last time using only water for a thorough coffee maker cleaning.

Add up to 1 1/8 teaspoon of milk or liquid creamer to 8 fl. oz. of coffee, and your coffee will remain in the acceptable viscosity range.

Generally, the diameter of coffee pods was initially 44mm under the Easy Serving Espresso standards. But today, these sizes now range from 38mm to 44mm. And of course, some machines have designs to cater to a specific diameter. That's one of the reasons why coffee pods won't work for any machine.

No K-cups and Coffee Pods are NOT the same and are NOT interchangeable. K-cups are specifically designed to be used in the Keurig single cup coffee maker only.

Can you use any coffee pods in any machine? Unfortunately, not all brands of pods are compatible with all brands of coffee machine. It should, however, be clear on the packaging (or in our key specifications lists, above), which pods your machine will accomodate.

While Tassimo T-Discs and Keurig K-Cups are proprietary refills for their specific branded coffee makers, many coffee pods are capable of being used in any pour over or drip coffeemaker.
