 I thought I'd make a recurring thread featuring laundry appliances that are for sale online from Craigslist, ebay, Kijiji and the like. Even if it's an older ad, it's interesting to see what's available and what the sellers think they are worth, even if some are pretty delusional. Remember, this is just passing along an ad, no endorsem*nts are being made or implied for sites, services or sellers. Always use your better judgement when responding to an ad. So folks, repost those great appliance finds that are out there. You may help a fellow member find that dream washer, mixer or stove. Gives ya' a warm, fuzzy feeling all over, doesn't it? | That GE GSD1200 for $30 tht must be a very EARLY 1200. Have never seen one with the woodgrain in the panel around the buttons. Nor have I ever seen one with avocado as one of the reversable panel insert colors. Where is Madison Heights? | ||

| GE 1200 Bob - When we had the big discussion last fall which was prompted by my posting of the new/old 1200 that I got, Peteski posted some cycle charts or owner's manual scans of the 1200S I think it was. Some thought it a more recent model than the L and G models I had or have, but I suspect this to be one of the first, like you. With the Avocado panels, and the woodgrain which to me looks like a remnant from the Potscrubber III, this looks like one of the first 1200s. That is a Kenmore SoftHeat dryer. Probably a Kenmore 800 from 1965 or 1966. | ||

| Kenmore 800 dryer James, and everyone else, the reason why I know this is an 800 because I had a coworker whose husband and her got transferred to Dallas from Houston in 1986. I visited them in late 1980s and early 1990s. First time I walked into their laundry room (to entery the hosue) I about keeled over. Theyh had the matching set since 1965 and the dryer had this same plug-door door, not the full-width door. I did a college paper on Sears Marketing of appliances and got an A+. This was the entry-level 800 dryer. | ||

Thast's much older than 1964 for that KA. It's more like a KD11 instead of a KDC14. The start switch is on the right hand side instead of the little flip switch located at the base of the handle. rotating mechanism. This post was last edited 10/07/2012 at 13:30 | ||
