The former child star began making headline news again on Wednesday, when he alleged in a series of tweets that a group of men approached his car in Los Angeles the night before and stabbed him in the stomach with something.

According to KTLA, Feldman drove and checked himself into the hospital, though later reports from police stated that the 46-year-old had no visible injuries on his body.

Feldman said on Twitter that a 'vile "wolfpack"' had been sending 'mounting threats' to him on social media. He also speculated that the alleged attack was a direct result of the openness with which he'sspoken about pedophilia in Hollywood.

In a 2011 interview, he alleged that both he and longtime best friend Corey Haim were molested in their youth. He's gone on to support the Child Victims Act, which gives victims of sexual assault a longer time frame to go after their attackers.

On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, Corey Feldman alleged that he was in his car with his bodyguard in Los Angeles the night before when three men approached them at a stoplight.Feldman claims one of the men opened the driver's side door and made a stabbing motion at him, causing injury to his abdomen. He said he was struck one time with either a knife tip or a syringe.

'He got one stab in, that was it. And it was a very small puncture,' he said, recalling the incident.

'It was like a dot. It was bleeding, but it was like a dog. So I don't know if he just got me with just the tip of the knife, or if he got me with a syringe. That's the part we don't know.'

According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department said that the suspect 'jabbed at Mr. Feldman's abdomen with an unknown object' but added that there were no lacerations or other injuries to Feldman's body.

An officer confirmed to DailyMail.com that the department was investigating the incident, but not as an attempted homicide as Feldman claimed on Twitter.

The police officer said they were looking into a potential assault with a deadly weapon against Feldman.

Feldman described his alleged attacker as a 'short guy, bald head, Mexican fellow'.

Although he couldn't confirm that the incident was related to his outspokenness about alleged pedophilia in Hollywood, he did say he found it 'very odd that a group of Mexican guys would pull over a car, go as far as opening a door and stabbing the person inside because generally, if they're gonna do that kind of aggressive move, they're gonna ask for a wallet or your car keys...This guy just got back in his car and left.'
