It's a great time to be a foodie on the SouthCoast. The menus are updating, the cuisines are evolving, and the food just keeps getting better.

RTB’s First 'Farmraiser'
Round the Bend Farm is holding its first ever “farmraiser," The Seeds We Sow, from 4 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. It will be a family-friendly event to raise money to support their education, farming, and food donation programs. Start with light nibbles, beverages, and mingling, then get a farm tour and visit baby goats. A farm fresh buffet style dinner will be held followed by desserts and s’mores. The cost starts on a sliding scale of $50 with options to pay it forward or donate a ticket; children under 12 are $20. There will be an auction and live music to keep you entertained. New owners and a new entree
The Inn on Shipyard Park has re-opened after a quick break and an ownership change at 13 Water St., Mattapoisett. The new owners have been part of The Inn family for many years and plan on carrying on the torch. They have put up a spring menu that has a new entrée the Pork Schnitzel which is a pan-roasted pork schnitzel, red bliss potato, roasted baby carrots, whole grain cream sauce, arugula, and pickled red onion for $30. Stop in and say hi to the new owners today.

Easter all week long
From Tuesday, March 26 to Sunday, March 31 Cork Wine and Tapas offers a special Easter week menu. Choose from Salmon & Creme Fraiche Empanada with salmon, dill, lemon, carrots, spinach, onions, and herbed caper creme fraiche ($12); Brisket Deviled Egg Sliders with slow roasted brisket, pickled red onion, egg salad, fried jalapeno, and sriracha aioli ($12), Lamb Lollipops with seared lamp lollipops, sweet potato puree, pesto, and herb toasted almonds ($24), or Chicken Cordon Bleu with herb-rubbed chicken, honey ham, Swiss, fingerling potatoes, grilled asparagus, and Dijon cream ($24). $15 lunches for a midday pick-up
At Traveler’s Alehouse from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday they are offering $15 lunches that come with a cup of chowder or soup. You get your pick from Chicken Fried Rice with chicken, rice, eggs, carrots, and peas; Chopped Sirloin with sauteed onions and peppers over mashed potatoes and a red wine demi; Asian Sweet Chili Chicken Stir Fry with chicken, onions, peppers, carrots, and broccoli in an Asian sweet chili sauce over rice; Pene Vodka Sauce topped with shaved parmesan cheese; Steak and Cheese Wrap with shaved steak, American cheese, and mayo in a flour tortilla served with waffle fries; Chicken Parm Wrap with fried chicken tenders, mozzarella cheese, and vodka sauce in a flour tortilla wrap served with waffle fries; Baked Haddock with mashed potatoes; or Chicken and Waffles. Dinner with a view
Have you missed the sunset dinners at The Back Eddy? Well, you don’t have to any longer, they are officially open for the season on Friday, March 22. Get summer vibes by ordering from the raw bar with 1/2 dozen locally Cultivated Oysters with a shallot mignonette for $18 or a 1/2 dozen Native Littlenecks with fresh horseradish co*cktail sauce and lemon for $15. They are also serving up a variety of fish entrees with tuna, swordfish, salmon, cod, or Bluefish, as well as a pulled pork dish or sandwich. Delicious Daily Deals
You have to head over to the Ice House Sports Bar on Tuesdays for their burger deal. For $10 you get a burger with a domestic beer and a happy full stomach. On Wednesdays, you can order a BOGO pizza and if you stop by on Thursdays it’s $3 tacos and $5 House Margaritas. There is a daily deal each day of the week at 136 Huttleston Ave., Fairhaven.
