The German eCommerce market is the second largest in Europe, having generated US$113.3 billion across all product categories in 2023. Of these, three stand out:
Fashion sells best in German eCommerce. The category consists of apparel, bags & accessories and footwear, and accounted for total revenues of US$28.3 billion in 2023. Hobby & Leisure is a close second, with US$27.5 billion in revenues. In third place is Electronics, which reached US$24.3 billion.
The following categories fall further behind, as indicated by Furniture & Homeware, which did not reach half the revenues of the previous category, at US$11.2 billion.
At the bottom of the ranking are Care Products, with US$9.4 billion in revenues in 2023, Grocery with US$6.9 billion, and lastly DIY with US$5.9 billion.
