Don't understand the negative reviews. This door is great

I recently purchased and installed this door. After reading the reviews (which I read after purchasing), I was nervous that the door would be warped, the wrong size, open the wrong way or the blinds would not work. None of that happened. Quality is outstanding and material construction is perfect.I highly recommend this door.

Door swing direction

In response to the person who got a left hand swing and needed a right hand swing. My door wasn't going to be delivered for 2 months so I went back to home depot 3 times before I was confident that I had the correct swing direction. Did not want to send it back after waiting 2 months. So after talking to 3 different people at Home Depot about the swing direction, this is what I learned. Standing in the doorway with your back to the hinges, if the door swings in to your left, it's a left hand swing. Opposite for right hand swing. Hope this helps.

The door has worked flawlessly since I installed it in August other than having the internal blind hang up on me once. Easily reset though so all is good. Great door for blocking the element. Night and day from my 20 year old builder grade door and this one from an insulation perspective.

The door is very well made and the glass is high quality and clear. Maintenance free exterior is a plus and the internal blinds are wonderful. The only annoyance was inserting the plastic screw plugs on the interior side.

The door has a slight bow in it, keeping the door from seating well with the seal in the upper outside corner. Not enough to go through the hassle of returning a 250 lb door and having to plywood up the opening while I try again. I'll just have to glue some foam up in the corner to keep the bugs out and heat out.There's little dribbles of foam insulation around the Lite opening and door edges. We got the blinds inserted into the double pane Lites. Aesthetically the design leaves a little to be desired, as the box they inserted to hold and guide the blinds is offset to hold the open/close mechanism, which itself seems to be a nice system, using 1 lever for both up/down and open/close.

This atrium door is beautiful, but dimensions are not 60X80. The door is 63.5 X 81.5. So, my contractor had to re-build the opening. Not sure why it was bigger than what I ordered.

shade in the window won't work

The door is a nice door. Easy to install. The problem the shade inside the window won't go up. Only moves half way up and no further, the other window works great up and down. The door window not so good. For 1300 dollars you would think they would both work.
